Towards Ben Lomond
What a difference a couple of days make. Wednesday's swim gave us all face freeze and we didn't head out past the black buoy. Today the water was much warmer and Ken, Fi andI headed straight for Cameron House while Cammie and Jenny stayed around the triangle. More of today's photos are here. There were 2 seaplanes parked / moored/ anchored outside today. Fi had time to spare waiting for us together there, so she had a swim around to examine them.
We got back in just under an hour and I thought it was warm enough to at least try taking my suit off in the water. Ken thought I was mad, but of course had to join me. And somehow that ended up with us both swimming out to the end of the sticks and back without the suits. It's not exactly far; 100m each way maybe but it's a start! It feels so good to be out without the wetsuit, but for a few moments you have the buoyancy of a stone.
When the day starts that way, it colours everything else. I was grinning like a lunatic for most of the morning. Just as well there was nobody around my part of the building.
