Hochwasserwarnung

For this weekend a flood warning was issued for the districts around Munich - rather correctly if you asked me.

Went home to the farm for today and tomorrow to take care of the house and the animals, as my parents are in Italy for the weekend. We aren't able to let the horses outside, due to quite fierce weather and ground conditions. It rained right through since Wednesday morning and the region around Munich received approximately 100 l/m² of rain and is expecting the same amount once more until Sunday. That's even more extraordinary when you consider that the yearly average is 900 l/m²!

Today's blip is the practice field of my former football club in Mauern, where I used to play before I went to university and moved to Munich. The field is obviously fairly unfeasible for any football-like activity right now, though - water polo would be a more suitable sport currently. Another reason for today's football-ish theme is, that tomorrow is the German Cup final in Berlin. Bayern Munich playes VfB Stuttgart - and if nothing dramatic happens Bayern should secure the triple of National Championship, National Cup, and Champions League Trophy this year.
