Walkies before the rain came

I quite thought that Carmen and I would get wet but we didn’t! Later I had an appointment at the Gendarmerie to give a statement, but as we drove in to the car park we saw a young man in handcuffs with sniffer dogs all over his car. Then his bags were unpacked, and we were allowed into the waiting room. 
Eventually they admitted that there wasn’t anyone to deal with us and we had to come back on Friday. Apparently everyone employed at the gendarmerie was needed to stand in the car park and watch what was going on!
