Himalayan Poppy
Went along the north shores of Loch Ness to Abriachan Gardens with Mrs P. A nursery with attached garden which climbs steeply up from the A82 at loch level and by the time we reached this Himalayan poppy it certainly felt that we'd got most of the way up the mountains. In clear weather the views across the loch would be fairly stunning but in fact we had constant drizzle and there was a heavy mist. There is a small charge (to charity) to walk the gardens but there are lots of woodland paths for free. Right at the bottom there is access to the old Killianan Burial Ground - just a few graves in a mass of bluebells.
PS. An apology to those who commented on yesterday's wren. I'm afraid it's metamorphosed into something completely different so please have a look.
