Rambling rose

The rambling rose over our cherry tree is looking great just now. Here it is with my seat below to catch the evening sun if it shines. We did have a bit of rain and it's a little cooler. This hen is one of my older ones, Pepper, she is not very friendly and hasn't laid eggs in years but she looks good. I also visited the gulls and the Oystercatchers have hatched 3 chicks and the gull chicks are getting big, see extra.
In other news KK got he results of his Defence Aptitude test today, passed with flying colours so he is on to the next stage. L went to meet the staff and have a look at her new school in Armadale where she will teach for the next year and she loved it, so all good.
On the downside I phoned the Ophthalmologist to find out my date for my eye op as he said 3 to 4 months and it's now five. His secretary told me they have still not done last years patients so will be at least a year. That shook me a bit so now I am back to looking at private treatment, why didn't he tell me the truth to begin with!
