In The Wood

Geordie was excited and happy when we got out the car at our favourite wood at Shell Bay. He was probably eager to check out the new sniffs since we hadn’t been there for a few days.
As soon as we got into the wood I noticed the wonderful earthy, aromatic smells. (sniffs for Geordie, smells for me) The rain we had last night had flattened a lot of the wild flowers, but the air was clear and fresh, and the bird song seemed sharper.
We met Jim and Amber so Geordie was excited and we had a blether as we walked.
Maggie is here and having a nap, really unlike her. While it’s quiet I’m checking out my new air fryer and plan to cook our meal in it.
