Tattered and Torn

I like to use vintage papers in my collage work, especially for backgrounds. I’ve been to a couple of flea markets and an estate sale looking for books that were old and totally worn out. I look for books that have torn spines and ripped or missing pages. These are the books that I love to rescue. I feel comfortable tearing them apart because I feel like I’m giving them a new beautiful life. Otherwise, they’re probably wind up in the dump.
