Four Leading Lines

We spotted our neighbour walking these four dogs on our way back from town this morning. The leads got tangled a few times as we chatted to her, but I was impressed by her dog taming skills.

Camera club summer outing this evening - Clattinger Farm Meadows.

I had a Father's Day call from daughter#1 yesterday evening and also spoke to the grandsons, well Rory at least.

Rory interviewed me for a school project he is doing. I had to tell him about my tastes in music and favourite bands, singers and concerts. Jefferson Airplane, Bob Dylan, The Beatles, Jimi Hendrix, Bowie, Lana Del Ray, Elvis Costello and Patti Smith came up. In particular he wanted to know what sort of music I liked when I was his age. That made me think - in fact the answer was nothing. He is 8 and at that age I don't think I was exposed to music in the same way that he has been (note they had all been to see the Lancashire Hotpots at the weekend). There wasn't much radio and although we had a record player the first record I bought was Don't Throw Your Love Away by the Searchers, 1964 so I would have been 11 then. My first album was Beatles For Sale, also 1964. How times have changed.
