Orientation

Up early to catch the bus to town and attend the UCI Volunteer orientation day at the Royal Concert hall.  There were around 1500 volunteers in attendance, of a total of around 4000.  getting quite exciting about the whol thing now - 13 disciplines, and more athletes from more countries than the last commonwealth games!  We were entertained by some local radio hosts with some good Glasgow banter,  got some interviews with some guests and generally just found out a bit more about what will be happening.  Not many people in my group had heard of Trials before and there were lots of gasps at the example video - have they never seen a Danny Mac video?!?

Also may have treated myself and P to a rhubarb and custard donut from tantrum on the way home...as a yorkshire ex-pat I feel that it's my duty to purchase rhubarb flavoured things whever I see them.  Or at least that's the excuse.
