One of my hedgehogs
This is a ‘still’ from a video I took this morning. I was topping up my bird feeders and heard huffing and puffing. This hedgehog emerged from the sleeping box and huffed and puffed her way to the greenhouse. She went in and went to sleep in a pile of straw under a cupboard. Hedgehogs are not supposed to be out in daylight so I sent the video to Prickles and Paws rescue centre for advice. They think it’s a pregnant hog looking for somewhere to give birth, and doesn’t need rescuing.
I also have visiting foxes, who love to carry eggs around before they eat them. Last night one fox lined up three eggs in a row and kept picking different ones up. Today while looking in the greenhouse, I found an egg in there - a fox must have left it! I don’t think it will grow though!
