A pair of pieds

I photographed this pair of Pied Oystercatchers as I walked on Seven Mile Beach this morning. I see that one of them has been banded - I'd love to know where it has been observed.

Today was another delightful early winter day, around 14 degrees minimum overnight and 22 max during the day. We had no rain, and there is no forecast of rain - this is a 'dry winter' climate zone.
