Summer planting

One of those unplanned event days. We started with a quiet relaxing day ahead then heard that our dear friend who’s been dealing with cancer for the last 4 years has finally run out of energy for the fight and been admitted for palliative care. She’s been living some distance away while her house was being done up so we hadn’t seen her for a bit. As she had come home last week we were able to visit ( she’s in the local community hospital) and spend some time with her and her family. Very sad but she has been so very open about it all along we’ve all been expecting it and been able to talk about it which made it much easier. So glad to have an opportunity to see her at least once more. 
Had a lovely evening with J and his daughter.
