High Wycombe

Henry went off to Beavers camp this morning, and with Theo also away on Scout camp, we decided to go away for the weekend to High Wycombe,  where Neil grew up. Neil is recovering well and much more himself, but still has no recollection of the accident.  We spent the day revisiting many sites from his childhood,  including this part of the Rye river (photographed above), his old house, the park, his walk to school and many of his little play areas! It really is a beautiful area.  Now for a quiet meal out (we're not used to eating just the 2 of us!) and a night in a hotel before collecting both boys tomorrow afternoon. I bet we sleep better than they do!
