Eight

Went across to the market and was very pleased to encounter the family Swan on my way back across the Water - they were poking around beside the Ocean Mist. Seems we are one cygnet down since my last blip of them, but at least they're a reasonable size now. A total of eight would be very impressive. The extra is the sign that has gone up in the car park - think this all kicks off on the 26th June......

Spent the afternoon transcribing some of Mary Somerville's writings - she was aged 92 at the time, but making copious (and very legible) notes on Tait's book on Quaternions.

Ah, some folk already in a slightly inebriated condition are trooping past in the general direction of the Proclaimers concert. Think I'll stay in for the evening! (Although I might be able to hear them through the open windows......)
