Forgotten Songs

Today I had lunch in Sydney's CBD with an old friend. It was near Angel Place, the site of the installation 'Forgotten Songs', comprising almost 200 suspended empty bird cages, by Michael Thomas Hill. The art work celebrates the birds which inhabited this area before it was built out. I've blipped the birdcages before, but from a different angle. I always enjoy just being in Angel Place with its low light and being compelled to look up at the cages and sky.
