Bookmobile

Every summer when I was in grade school the Bookmobile would come to our neighborhood once every two weeks. I loved how as you stepped up into the bus you entered a library! There were shelves full of books and you could take 3 at a time home! The whole process of walking up into the bus then walking down through the bus as you picked out your books, checking them out at the back , then exiting through the back of the bus was intriguing to this little kid! Of course our bookmobile was a 1950’s bus, was light green in color, and looked nothing like this one, but oh how the bookmobile in the photo brought back such happy memories!
