Today's the day ........................ to strike back

An excellent (World Premier) performance tonight of  - 'The Little Match Girl Strikes Back', created and performed by Moniaive Young Theatre Makers in the Brigend Theatre, Dumfries.

The play is adapted in large part from the brilliant book of the same name by Emma Carroll - but also draws directly from newspaper articles by the social activist and 19th century human rights advocate, Annie Besant.  The theme of the play, featuring the courageous 'match girls' of 1880s London, is still so relevant today.  Namely, that the power of unity changes lives and that one small spark (of courage) can start a fire (of transformation).
