Graduation Day

What a day! We (my sister, lifelong friend and I) drove to St Andrew’s early and I enjoyed a walk around town before attending a small morning tea hosted by the International Education Institute. I finally met my supervisor, other academic staff, students and the ED. Hugs from many - despite being online, we’d formed connections.
There was then a short church service followed by our ceremony. So much history with the capping in Latin using an old cap. I was overwhelmed just before I walked on stage and then it was all over. Many before and many after me. Once everyone had finished we followed the academic profession in the walk down the street to the courtyard and around the courtyard two times before we met family and friends. Afternoon tea followed and then we left.
It’s real! MSc Tesol, with Merit. I worked hard!
