What’s UP

UP is a common ending for WA towns. In the native Aboriginal Noongar language and it means “place of”. Yesterday we stopped over in Jerramungup which means “Place of upstanding yate trees” which are a type on eucalyptus. (Pron Jeer-a-mung-up). I had not heard of this small town and forgot the name so I had to look it up. We are at the stage of our holiday when we forget what we did yesterday or where we were. I do remember we started in Esperance and it was a wicked day weather wise as it was blowing a gale all day. We couldn’t drive much faster than 80k/p/h.

We saw this silo art and I really liked it, a change from faces. The flower is a small one which had fallen from a tree and the paddock was one of the rare times it wasn’t raining. You can’t have perfect weather and I’m not complaining, just keeping a record of our day.
