Walking around …

…………… Lake Hayes, with granddaughter M. and Missy.
We had a lovely walk together. M. is down from Auckland for a week’s break and suggested we got together, so it was the Lake Hayes Trail and then lunch out in Arrowtown.
M. & I both stood on the wetland’s ice, so knew it was safe. Missy had a great time playing on it, but strayed onto a thinner patch and went through. A nasty moment but it was very shallow and she was out quickly.. I’ll be sticking to the shadier spots another time, where the sun doesn’t reach. It takes about 2 hours to walk that trail.
