Garden Party

A day of  gardens. First, we spent this morning tidying up our own garden, having to stop soon after noon because it was too hot. After lunch, we visited local friends C and B and enjoyed a cuppa  in the shade in their garden, hearing about their recent trip to Norway on a Hurtigruten ship.
Then,  this evening, we  attended a garden party in aid of locally based  eye research charity, Gift of Sight,Gift of Sight held in a beautiful garden in Crawley village near Winchester. Some of the  researchers  were helping to serve the  drinks while chatting about their work. Many attendees were grateful patients of Southampton Eye Unit who have benefitted  from the research. It was a very happy event.
