Melrose

Damnable tedious day at work. It was our quarterly in-person forum which I
hated every moment of. Afterwards I headed for the Borders to go to the Borders Book Festival at Melrose. We managed to have a cuppa at fine tea shop in Lauder en route and a wander round Melrose Abbey. I was amused to find a very old photo on an information board which showed a much younger version of me viewing some excavations. Then food and a really interesting talk by Barry Cunliffe - a renowned archaeologist. Oh and the blip - that’s in the wee museum at the abbey. He looked jolly and I was by the end of the day!
