At long last!

After weeks of worry, checking daily, buying special plant food, watering ….. my Tree Fern is finally growing new fronds!
Tree Ferns are not completely hardy, and every year I stuff the crown with hay and then wrap it in wadding and fleece to keep the crown warm and dry. When I came to unwrap it in May the hay was very wet and I was seriously concerned the crown may have been frosted in the cold we had in December.
So, it then kept me waiting for a whole month before it saw fit to start growing again! Sadly I did loose my much smaller one, so I am really grateful this one survived.
