en plein air

I've felt very happy today for no particular reason. The sunshine helps, of course. I mowed the front lawn (17 days since I last did it and it might have lasted longer but I wanted to get everything done before my visitors arrive).  It was yet another hot day and I thought often about Sarah, Danielle and Dan who were running the Welsh 3000s today (there are 15 of them) and hoping that they were ok in the heat.*

This afternoon I went into town for a swim and did 54 lengths (a new personal record). I bought D a big pot of bright red paint on my way home and he is going to add some to the artwork he was doing today. More housework got done this evening and that's quite enough for now.
