Kennick Rhodies and Wide on Wednesday Results
Kennick reservoir is one of three up on the moor past Hennock. Like many grand Victorian works it has rhodedendrons which have become so invasive. There's just one time of the year when for a few weeks they look impressive.
I've been down to the festival site putting up a display of pictures by the Village Photo Club. You can see the main marquee as an extra. There's still a lot of work going on with the sound and lighting installation which should be ready just about now as the first performers are due to start. Our display of about 40 photographs is in the tent on the left hand side. It does look quite good when you get in there.
Wide on Wednesday Results
Thank you for rising to my challenge of Rocks and Stones. The first five get my hearts:
steveng Lynmouth Groynes A super rocky beach scene
jensphotos Redhead Rocks A lovely rocky sea scene with a long exposure
Lsquare Rocks under the Bridge A dark beauty. You'll need to open the full res to see it properly
chrisf Stoneface An excellent photo of a sculpture. My only doubt about this one is that I'm not convinced it's stone as it seems to have all the charcteristics of a weathered wooden carving. Doesn't matter it's a great shot.
BanksiaMan Rock Wall Gorgeous light on the rocks.
Honourable Mentions go to:
NickyR High Street Setts
Dollydoug Old Walls
lisa24270 Semi-precious Stones
mambo Between a Rock and a Restaurant
Yana1 Standing Rocks
Thank you all for entering the challenge. It's my last week for this session. Steven will be hosting next so do keep tagging your wonderful entries.
