Day 149 of 365 - The Paxton Memorial!

Welcome to day 149 of 365 (Finished image after Editing)

The original photo was taken early this afternoon at the entrance to London Road Cemetery in Coventry. The image is mainly of the Sir Joseph Paxton Memorial. The Memorial made by Joseph Goddard was unveiled in 1868, three years after Sir Joseph Paxton's Death. Joseph Paxton was the architect of the London Road Cemetery which was one of England's first Municipal Burial Grounds. It was opened in 1847. Sir Joseph Paxton was also known for designing The Crystal Palace. He was also Head Gardener at Chatsworth House in his earlier days.

The Memorial is classed as Grade II* listed. It is number 19 on my list of 24 (Grade II*) Listed buildings in Coventry that I hope to photograph.

As always the shot was taken with my iPhone 5. The photo was taken using the camera App ExposerGL for iPhone. The original image can be found here: Unedited original Image.

First of all I used the app called Photo Copier to apply a reproduction of the tone, texture, grain and detail of the artist Van Gogh's painting called - Cornfield with Flight of Crows. Finally I used Distressed FX to crop the image into a square and then add extra texture to the image using the Stirred overlay and the Lazarus Texture.
