Clever cucumber

This is the first year I have grown cucumbers. I have three plants in our back porch, which I have grown from seed. Every so often I tie them into the canes so that they grow nice and straight. This week they have out on quite a spurt with the high temperatures and when I went to tie them in today I noticed that they had already done it themselves. Little tendrils are attached to both the canes and to my hanging seagull!
If you look carefully, you may just see one of the little tiny cucumbers above the gull’s beak.

Tonight I am going out to a concert at Oran Mor which is part of the Glasgow Jazz Festival, ‘Radiohead Reimagined’, looking forward to it.
