Waiting

Warm, sunny, +23, cooling wind.

Today I had the opportunity first go to the Vanhankaupunlahti bay. Same scenes, except that I found the place where the first town hall in Helsinki was located. I have passed the place many times, not for a while, but it wasn't marked. The info board and stones on the ground weren't very old, maybe some years. All the area is beautiful to see again and again and you can see some small new things every time. I also saw a blackbird being too hot, its beak was open all the time. Poor bird. It begins to be very dry in here.

In the evening, but quite late we got to the allotment. We shortened our lilacs on the borders of the plot. I also weeded a bit and discussed quite long with with the chairman of the allotment association of ours about how to make parking, especially of the builders, in the area more clear. We didn't have time to water more the third part today, although it was planned. hope it happens tomorrow.


In the picture a common tern (Sterna hirundo) is waiting for the fish getting to a better position to have it caught. The tern was hanging about,  in the air, flying at the same point in place. As you see its beak points straight down. I have never seen it before.
