Eating flowers

Yep, the highlight of today was Noah's first try of a flower. Also a stick. Ha!

We went over to my mother's house pretty early today as I wanted to go on the crosstrainer, this meant that the minion had a play in the conservatory (I was in there too) on a fluffy rug and then spent some time in his walker. My mother was in there playing with him too and we were laughing at him doing the "indian noise" - you know when you tap your mouth as you make a sound. He does it himself now, and he was also showing her how he does "round and round the garden like a teddy bear" to himself too. Seriously, these levels of cute are dangerous.

After he napped and I showered we went and rolled around in the freshly cut grass. He found this pink plant (Err I shall get the name) and was instantly attracted to it, so I took some lovely huge aperture shots of him with it as a background (ok bokeh!) and then gave him a flower to explore. Wow! How exciting! He tasted it, smelt it, twirled it, clapped with it, and dropped it. When he picked it up it was stick side up and he put it to his mouth and got a shock, he did this thing I would describe as a judder. Clearly wasn't liking the stick end. He tried eating it again and I just went with it, he soon spat it out.

He then crawled all around the garden (like a teddy bear?). My mother has this slightly higher ridge and he rolled down it and got stuck in the ditch. My mother wanted to go rescue him but I knew that eventually he'd work out how to free himself as his arm was trapped under him. Eventually he rolled over and continued his journey across the garden.

Few handfuls (and tastes) of grass, one close encounter with a ladybird, a few stares at the birds and a chase of the cat later we were both covered in grass. We popped out to pick up my niece and had a nice evening together - she really is fantastic with her baby cousin!

Good day. I love that he explores everything new, though sometimes I do think my mother thinks that I'm a strange one for sitting back and watching him eat grass. Hiya mam! We all remember when I ate a cigarette butt from the beach (Ok I was tiny at the time, hardly 16)
