Sing For Your Supper (Club)
Dear O'H dear, Lovely Tea Jenny and The Eldest Mini Princess,
And the day finally came…the reason for the birth of supper club…we were off to see Elton.
We headed up to Aberdeen on the train at lunchtime. We ended up with a new train friend, Mick. He was off to work on one of the rigs and was very entertaining and also VERY chatty*. Charlie had bought us ridiculous glasses to wear to the concert and gave him a spare pair which he wore for the journey!
Elton he was fab. His voice is every bit as amazing live and the way his hands move across the piano is amazing. There were a few older songs at the beginning that we didn’t know (they must have been missed from the ‘Supper club singalong at 2 am’ album) but that meant we could run out to buy drinks/pee out previous drinks!
As you’d expect, there were a few outfit changes. I was amused that his fancy jackets had his name on the back. Is it a bit like putting your name in your pencil case at school so no one accidentally takes it?
It was our first ever supper club night away. I hope there will be more. I love spending time with these 3 amazing women.

*He told us a few stories, all of which amusingly started with “Long story short”. None of which were!
Just for info - 61, a scaffolder, has a son and daughter with his wife and a daughter from a previous marriage (details of relationship breakdown supplied) and 2 grandchildren, all of whom we saw pictures of. He goes to bed at 9pm every night and had a heart attack a few years ago (full details supplied).
