Follow the leader

Its rare for me to blip livestock for personal reasons but I was a bit concerned to see these cows and calves out on the muddy estuary earlier. I was watching them for while wondering how far they would actually go and thinking I should go and tell the farmer! I was quite relieved to see the farmer's son and sheepdog heading in their direction to steer the cows back to the marsh, phew! They've only been let out onto the marsh for a few days so no doubt they've been doing lots of exploring. Not the best quality photo as it was dull and camera nearly at full zoom.

So its official, this has been the coldest Spring for 50 years!! Just heard it on the news!
