Manhattan …

… Skyscrapers, captured as the train we took from Northampton approached New York City late this afternoon. It was a smooth ride, as it usually is, and we arrived on time in Pennsylvania Station.

The subway took us briskly to our apartment on West 97th Street (not far from Central Park). Our niece L had left everything in order. We went out almost immediately to a small restaurant on our corner (new to us) and had a very nice light meal.
