After a big walk along Ship Creek and then back into town I was loosing the will to live as Billy Connelly says. We went into a pancake place and I had a hot chocolate and the forester a reindeer sausage crepe. We sat in the window and looked across the street at this pair. At first the man was on his own checking his bike and pacing a little. Then this woman came up and she engaged him in conversation. I could lip read her saying nice bike and a thumbs up. They chatted for quite a while and then his female partner came out of the mall wearing her leather biking jacket and the woman went on her way.
The extra is urban fishing at Ship Creek. Yesterday the forester had seen people catching salmon today it was just fishing. The salmon are spawning and swimming upstream. There is a limit of one fish only. At the moment it is King Salmon running. It is all very industrial beside the railway lines but good that the river is healthy enough for the fish to thrive. There is a cross section of people fishing from locals in sweat shirts to men in waders.
Last night's dinner was a success in a busy brew type establishment. Halibut is delicious so now we are off to seek out tonight's meal.
P.S back from dinner and we ended up in the restaurant the people are standing in front of. I had crab cakes which were superb.
