A Shropshire Lad In Paradise Regained

I took this photo a hundred years ago. 

I was strolling along this sleepy little lane to nowhere and tarried a while with the gentleman of the house.

It transpires he and his good wife keep bees and sixteen hives in all. 

I extolled the virtues of wild meadow gardens and to my delight he proffered a jar of fresh honey.

I fairly skipped home in my haste to get to the dark room and develop my plate.

And lo! Behold a not half bad exposure,

I am going to hate it when they invent tellys and mobile phones. And smelly combustible engines.

No, I don't like the sound of that at all....
