I don’t live Pierrot’s sad face but it matches mine a little today!

I’ve spent ages trying to chase up my fracture clinic appointment that’s a couple of weeks overdue. Apparently there’s another doctors strike this week and some people that had appointments got them cancelled anyway.

None of the specialist nurses could help with advice as I should be moving more now and putting more weight through the bad foot already.

After trying half a dozen different numbers I gave up and e-nailed my GP.

A doctor that I’ve spoken to before called me this evening and said she wouldn’t be happy to advise without me having had the 6 week x-ray and getting the go ahead from my consultant.

She’s going to write to ask me to be seen asap but also noted that they hadn’t received any communication after my previous appointment.

I’m so frustrated and impatient and really thought I’d be further along in my recovery.

As I said to the doctor…I don’t want to risk damaging the healing process but I also don’t want to hinder the recovery time either by not getting things moving and risking long-term joint stiffness because I didn’t start exercising sooner.
