Malvern Hills - the rose

I took this picture of the yellow roses in the heat of the day because I thought the limp, faded colour would indicate how hot it was. No reading in the garden today. Not only is it too hot, but also I had to make the 220th birthday cake for our get together with friends tomorrow in Derbyshire. I’d volunteered to do the main course too so I was slaving over a hot stove.

Then I planned menus for when we get back as Irish friends are coming to stay on Monday.

I took some purple basil along to Ros - she is waiting for tests regarding the recent embolism but she was out.

I’m not looking forward to the long drive tomorrow as we have no aircon in the car.
