Beech nut

Another hot, dry, day . We need more rain than yesterday's shower.
I walked to the local post office and noticed the beech trees on the green are weighed down with an abundance of nuts ( beech mast). 
Stormin Norman the tortoise was extremely lively and hungry this morning. Such was his ferocity he bit my finger (drawing blood) as I held leaves for him to eat!
