Central Court House
This court house in the Sydney CBD is part of a complex with a police station and is temporarily closed.
It was constructed in 1893 to a design by James Barnet with construction overseen by Walter Liberty Vernon.
I visited it today as part of a tour, 'How the Courts Work'.
The guide was a retired lawyer with a lifetime of experience in Sydney law circles.
She was a mine of information and led us through several trials in session in the Local Court and the District Court
Part two is on Friday, when we'll visit the Supreme Court, the Federal Court and the High Court.
Can't wait!
