PANIC!!

Yet another day of allotment work. I think I have made a visible difference, now. Everything is looking a LOT tidier :)

When I uncovered this compost heap (the long-term one, where all the perennial weeds and grass roots go) this ant nest was exposed. Such a scurrying to rescue the precious larvae and coccoons! Unfortunately, the presence of the nest means that the heap has been allowed to become too dry :(

I think that after another 5 hours of work today, I will finally be able to plant out the courgettes tomorrow...
