Oscar Was Wrong

I’m fortunate that I’ve never felt the need to light up on a regular basis. There was that week when I was 16 and I had a pack of 10 which I tried and quite quickly decided it did absolutely nothing for me.

Fortunately being extremely cool from moment one, I never needed anything hanging from my lips to add value. It was also the case that no one I hung around with smoked. Huey Lewis was right, it is hip to be square.

So I won’t be frequenting this new kid on the block and can’t see it being here in 6 months time. That said, it is close to the local high school & I seem to see more and more children trying to “kick the habit” which always draws comment from me as I pass.
