Ugly Ducklings? Pfft!

I will never understand the notion that cygnets are somehow less beautiful than the swans that they grown up to be. I think they are utterly gorgeous and this little quintet grabbed my attention for quite a while earlier this evening. I didn't get as many good shots as I would have like, as they were quite far out in the pond, but I think I know where their nest is so hopefully I can get a few more over the next couple of weeks. My favourite one is definitely the little one on the right with its mouth open however, I'd be hard pushed to tell them apart. It might be easier then to say that my favourite one in this particular photo, is the wee one on the right!
