Sunday Feasting

We were invited to go with Debbie to keep her company as she preached at a small church called Falcon Lodge Chapel (where my mum used to attend when she lived on Falcon Lodge Estate). Sutton Baptist church is helping out with this smaller congregation which consists mostly of seniors. We enjoyed her message and I managed to take an unobtrusive photo of her in action. The illustrations were all her own drawings!

Paul and Felicity picked us up straight after the service, as we had arranged to drive out to Kenilworth for a special meal at The Cross, a Michelin starred restaurant to celebrate their upcoming marriage. Also it was Paul’s birthday today so we toasted him as well.

This was another unforgettable experience, with local and seasonal items in a 6 course Tasting Menu with a wine flight. They expertly managed to cater for Felicity’s celiac and vegetarian requirements. We had a good deep conversation with them about their relationship, and were able to share some hopefully helpful advice from our own experience.
