Continuity
It was nice to wake up this morning after a good sleep, feeling relaxed and fit in the way only fresh air and exercise can supply.
It was nice to be able to take my time over coffee and breakfast.
It was nice to have lunch all ready to eat - lots of leftovers from last night.
Strange as it may seem, it was nice to see a bit of rain just before lunch. It was even better when the sun came out just as I was deciding a coffee and scone at Cafe Wemyss would be a good idea.
I got my marching shoes and trousers on, and set off before the weather gods had second thoughts. I got sweaty on the way back (it is uphill all the way) and that is positive when it comes to my heart, my lungs, my glucose levels, my weight and goodness knows what else.
The news had an interesting headline when I got home, with Sturgeon joining Trump and Johnson in the court of public opinion for all the wrong reasons. It puts a whole new perspective on a First Minister who sold himself as the continuity candidate.
I got my Blip as I emerged from the Cafe Wemyss. The Adam Smith Theatre. It has been undergoing refurbishment for a couple of years, and at long last the builders have disappeared - at least from the outside, on a Sunday.
