Beauty unfurled

Peony shrubs flower for just a short time each year. Usually you have to wait for a year or two for a new one to flower.

This is the second season for this beautiful shrub, which so far has presented two flowers last year and three this year. I love them. Even thought they only gift me their flowers for one short week in June, they are absolutely worth waiting for. Their fragrance is so delicately wonderful. This is definitely one of the things I am grateful for today.
