Popping bubble wrap …
… and watching the world from the front porch - it’s the sweetest part of my day. The plaque on our glider reads “rocking, smiling, breathing, happy” - it matches our mood.
We watch the squirrels in the walnut tree as the wind blows the leaves. We comment on the cars driving too fast down the street, and note the direction in which they’re heading. There’s a yellow school bus that always turns south around 8:45 - probably headed to Richmond School we think.
These are moments I’ll miss when I retire in ten weeks, but for now we’ve got lots more bubble wrap to pop.
