Snail Sex

This morning I almost stumbled over these two snails. They are amazing Roman snails. They are hermaphroditic and have interesting snail sex
They are welcome guests in our garden, because they love to nibble the eggs of slugs. Although plants are also part of the Roman snail's diet, they mostly eat withered and rotting plant parts that are soft and easy for the small animals to digest
The Roman snail can grow up to five centimeters (shell size) and is a protected species. (*source)

I was honoured to accompany our son M, together with his FIL (to be soon) S. to look for a wedding suit.It was an exciting experience and we think he will look fantastic :-D. Two month to go to keep it a secret - not an easy task ;-)
