Loch Ordie

I swapped Parkrun today for an outing with the local Tryst Walking Group. We headed over to Dowally (just off the A9 between Ballinluig & Dunkeld) and made our way to Loch Ordie.  It was visited (and indeed sketched) by Queen Victoria on her visits to the area and there is cairn marking the spot where she admired the views. To be fair there is much to admire.

The loch is small enough to walk round easily which we did.  We were greeted by a Coffee Van at the bridge where we stopped for lunch. However it wasn't there for our benefit but that of those partaking in a land rover experience on the estate. We counted about 10 - I wonder how much they paid for the privilege.

The afternoon was spent dozing and reading - perfect for a lazy afternoon.  Rain is forecast for tomorrow which will be good for the garden.
