somewhere between purple and green

Love the colour of this plant. Sea thistle? Beach thistle? Just thistle? Anyway, gorgeously in between green and purple...
Long walk along the beach and boardwalk, lots of swallows and martins and various tiny noisy birds, then fish for lunch.
And back here to do not much for the rest of the day.
