Sunny cactus

It has been the most perfect day to hike up the hills, with some cloud and breezes and a beautiful warm sun. I chose a route I often walk, a circular trail of about 6 miles,  and was astounded to find, for the first time, this cactus in flower with hundreds of wonderful bright yellow suns, swarming with wildlife. There are noticably more wild flowers this year and so too more bees.

Apricots are also abundant at the moment so it's apricot clafoutis for tea. M has been repairing wooden fences so has earned a treat! Hope you are enjoying a restful weekend everyone.
