Allotment 2022 onwards

Achievement of the day

I spent the day working through a long list of work jobs, but gave myself a bit of time off in the evening. I emptied the contents of  trough into a large bag to take up to the allotment.  The birds had taken about half the wool liner for nesting and the remainder will be shredded and added to the compost bin. The surviving 4 wallflowers and 1 very small, but pretty viola have also gone up to the allotment for repotting or planting out there. Tomorrow I will be re-lining and filling with compost.  The plants are currently luxuriating in or surviving the heat up at the allotment and were watered along with everything else on the essential watering list.

I'm thinking about using some more of the spare wool lining as a mulch in some parts of the allotment to reduce water loss. A bit of research to do on that.

I also realised that the only picture that I took on Thursday was of Taz's latest prescription.  So I'm not sharing that here - another empty blip day, but sometimes life is like that.
